Gloucester forward Ross Moriarty has been cited following an incident in the European Rugby Challenge Cup final against Edinburgh last Friday.
Flanker Moriarty is alleged to have struck opposing lock Fraser McKenzie with his knee in the 54th minute of the match at the Twickenham Stoop, which Gloucester won 19-13.
A hearing will be held on Dublin on Thursday with sanctions ranging from a three-week ban for a low end ruling up to a year for serious incidents, if Moriarty is found guilty.
