Martyn Thomas will stay at Gloucester next season after agreeing a new contract.
The full-back, who can also play on the wing, made 20 appearances in his first season at Kingsholm following his arrival from Newport-Gwent Dragons.
And he said: "I'm really happy to be staying at Gloucester.
"I thoroughly enjoyed my first season at the club and am genuinely excited about 2013-14 - even the pre-season training that lies ahead!
"Playing in the Aviva Premiership was a new experience for me last season, and I loved every minute of it. Playing regularly at Kingsholm was amazing, our support is second to none, and I can't wait to get back out there.
"We've got some amazing talent at the club, and we've had pretty good continuity from last season to this. The potential is there for Gloucester to make a real impact and I'm looking forward to being part of that."
Director of Rugby Nigel Davies said: "Martyn did well in his first season at the club. He's a popular member of the squad and a valuable contributor.
"With his ability to cover wing and full-back, he gives us valuable options in the back three and I'm delighted that he's signed on again with Gloucester Rugby."
