Dual-code international set to shine at Clifton Lane

Former dual-code international Henry Paul is being backed to make a huge impact at Rotherham Titans. Paul has signed for the Championship outfit following his release from Leeds - and he will be joined by fellow former Carnegie old boys Joe Bedford, Jonny Hepworth and Richard Welding. And Bedford believes Paul, who has been helping coach Russia's backs, can play a key role in Rotherham's push for the top. "Henry's reputation speaks for itself and he's had success at the highest levels of league and union," said Bedford who is in line to skipper the Titans. "He speaks up in training and everyone is keen to learn from him and I have seen what he can do at Premiership level." The former Leeds quartet will team up with the likes of Juan Socino, Cliffy Hodgson, Brad Hunt, Nick Buckley and Peter Swatkins in pushing for a place in an exciting looking backline at Clifton Lane. And Bedford is confident of his side's chance once the players settle in. "Jonny and Richard have pace to burn and there are a lot of players in our back line who can cause problems," said Bedford. "Juan and Cliffy are different types of player and they both look sharp in training and we'll rely on a strong forward pack which is taking shape nicely. "We need to gel but the individual components are very strong and I'm quietly confident about our chances."
