Matt Mullan: Will leave Worcester for Wasps in the summer
London Wasps have announced the signing of England Saxons prop Matt Mullan from Worcester for next season.
The 25-year old has won one full England cap, in 2010 as a replacement against Italy, and toured with the senior squad in South Africa last summer.
He was also called up into the England Elite Player Squad as an injury replacement during the 2012 autumn international series and came off the bench for the Saxons in their victory over the Irish Wolfhounds at the weekend.
Since coming through the underage ranks at Worcester, Mullan has featured 105 times for the first team, scoring five tries, and he said: "I have had a great eight years at Worcester and leaving your home town club is always hard.
"However I felt the time was right for a new challenge and I am looking forward to joining up with London Wasps next season. As a club with lots of other aspiring young English players, I hope to be part of a successful side there in the coming years."
London Wasps director of rugby Dai Young said: "Matt's achieved plenty in his career to date but I believe there is a lot more to come from him.
"He will add to our growing base of young English talent at London Wasps and we're pleased he will be with us from next season."
