Aviva Premiership club Harlequins have signed Fiji international Aseli Tikoirotuma on a two-year contract.

The 27-year-old back, who currently plays for New Zealand side Waikato Chiefs, will move to west London in August when his commitments to the Super 15 franchise ends.

Tikoirotuma made his Test debut for Fiji last year and has been a regular member of Waikato’s title-winning teams in the last two years, scoring 11 tries in 33 appearances.

Quins director of rugby Conor O'Shea said: "Aseli is one of the most exciting backs in world rugby and we are delighted he has signed for us.

"He comes from a winning culture at the Chiefs, is equally at home on the wing or at centre, and I am sure will fit seamlessly into the way we play here and add to the quality we already have."
