Newcastle Falcons have signed forward Semesi Taulava on a two-year deal from Worcester Warriors.
Taulava is the second new signing to be announced in the build-up to the 2014-15 season after Leeds Carnegie lock Calum Green agreed a deal earlier this week.
The Tongan enjoyed stints at Taranaki and Rotherham Titans before earning a move to the Aviva Premiership with Worcester in the summer of 2012.
Newcastle director of rugby Dean Richards said: "Semesi is a quality addition to the back row, and he gives us considerable power up front.
"He is another great signing as we strengthen our squad ahead of next season."
Taulava said: "I'm really looking forward to my move to Newcastle Falcons and I'm excited at the prospect of playing under Dean Richards.
"I like the philosophy of the Falcons and when I spoke to Dean I was impressed with the club's plans for the future."
"There is a good mixture of both youth and experience in the squad, and I hope that my experience can complement those talented youngsters coming through."
