Newcastle Falcons have completed the signing of second-row Calum Green on a two-year deal from Leeds Carnegie.
Green, who started his career with Leicester Tigers, has made 38 appearances for the West Yorkshire club and has featured heavily in their march towards securing a play-off spot this term.
Newcastle director of rugby Dean Richards said: "Calum has already shown he is more than capable of performing in the Aviva Premiership during his time with Leicester, and I'm delighted he has made the decision to move to Newcastle.
"His strong displays for Leeds over the last two seasons have really caught our eye and he is at a good age with an amazing amount of potential. He is a fantastic signing."
Green said; "I am looking forward to moving to Newcastle Falcons in the summer.
"I've enjoyed my time at Leeds and I will be doing everything I can to help them in the end of season Championship play-offs.
"Newcastle is an exciting challenge for me and it will be great to team up with Dom Barrow again, a player I know very well from his days at Leeds".
