Centre Gonzalo Canale will miss Italy's autumn internationals after tearing muscles in his right thigh.

Canale, who has been capped 77 times, suffered the injury during training ahead of this weekend's Test against Tonga in Brescia.

Canale is now facing at least three weeks on the sidelines, meaning he has also been ruled out of the clashes against New Zealand and Australia.
