France have named Frederic Michalak at fly-half for Saturday's second Test against New Zealand in Christchurch.

The 30-year-old was a late arrival on tour for Les Bleus due to Toulon's involvement in the Top 14 final, but came off the bench in last weekend's 23-13 defeat in Auckland.

Michalak will win his 66th cap and is one four changes made by France coach Philippe Saint-Andre to his starting line-up.

Nicolas Mas replaces Luc Ducalcon at tighthead prop, Christophe Samson is preferred to Sebastien Vahaamahina in the second row, while there is a debut for flanker Bernard Le Roux.

South African-born Le Roux, who plays for Racing Metro, slots in for the injured Fulgence Ouedraogo after he suffered a tour-ending ankle injury in the first Test.

Saint-Andre has also made some positional switches, with Maxime Medard and Yoann Huget swapping roles. The former has been selected at full-back after impressing in Tuesday's 38-15 win over the Blues.

There are four changes on the bench, including uncapped fly-half Remi Tales and powerful centre Mathieu Bastareaud, who has recovered from the thigh problem that forced him to miss the first Test.

France: 15 Maxime Medard; 14 Adrien Plante, 13 Florian Fritz, 12 Wesley Fofana, 11 Yoann Huget; 10 Frederic Michalak, 9 Maxime Machenaud; 1 Thomas Domingo, 2 Dimitri Szarzewski, 3 Nicolas Mas, 4 Christophe Samson, 5 Yoann Maestri, 6 Thierry Dusautoir (c), 7 Bernard Le Roux, 8 Louis Picamoles.

Replacements: 16 Benjamin Kayser, 17 Vincent Debaty, 18 Luc Ducalcon, 19 Sebastien Vahaamahina, 20 Yannick Nyanga, 21 Brice Dulin, 22 Remi Tales, 23 Mathieu Bastareaud.
