Leinster head coach Joe Schmidt has played down injury fears over Ireland captain Brian O'Driscoll ahead of the autumn internationals.
The veteran centre was forced off midway through the first half during Leinster's RaboDirect PRO12 win over Cardiff Blues on Saturday.
Concerns were immediately raised over his availability for Ireland, who have dates with South Africa, Fiji and Argentina scheduled in November.
But Schmidt says O'Driscoll only has a mild ankle sprain and was taken off as a precaution in light of his in international commitments.
"Brian sprained his ankle. He was going to play on," Schmidt told Leinster's official website.
"In the end, we measured up the responsibilities that he has got coming up (with Ireland) and we replaced him. We don't think at this stage that it is too serious."
