Flanker Rob Harley will join up with the Scotland squad currently touring South Africa, while Ryan Wilson and Jim Hamilton are heading in the opposite direction.

Glasgow's Harley is the fourth emergency replacement called up by Scotland, following another injury-hit weekend.

Harley is a direct replacement for clubmate Wilson who dislocated his shoulder against South Africa on Saturday.

Hamilton, meanwhile, will miss the third-place play-off match with Italy as he returns home to be with his wife who is expecting their child.

Kelly Brown, Geoff Cross and Pat MacArthur have already left the tour due to injury.

Harley, who made his first start for Scotland against Italy at Murrayfield four months ago, admitted: "It's a bit of a shock but very exciting.

"I've never been out to South Africa before so it'll be good to go over there and hopefully I'll be able to make the squad for the game."
