Wing Sean Lamont says Scotland must refuse to be bullied by South Africa at Murrayfield on Saturday.

The Scots go in to the match on the wrong end of a 51-22 pasting at the hands of New Zealand last Sunday.

Two years ago the Scots were crushed 49-3 by the All Blacks, but in their next match they beat the Springboks 21-17 - and Lamont says they can repeat that turnaround provided they match the South Africans' physicality.

Lamont said: "We can take positives from the weekend, we can also take positives from the fact we've done this before.

"We beat South Africa last time round. We know they're a big, physical team. They like to try to bully you and come at you with big strong runners.

"If we can do what we did two years ago, match them physically, that's a big start to getting a win this weekend.

"That's what it comes down to, physicality and making those hits. If you don't match them physically, every hit they'll take you back another few metres. They do it over and over again.

"We know where they're going to come, how they're going to do it, it's just down to us to stop them.

"We've got to stick to our systems, make our hits and cross that whitewash."
