Glasgow and Scotland full-back Stuart Hogg will miss the first eight weeks of the new season after having to undergo ankle surgery.
The 20-year-old went under the knife last week after being hampered by the injury ever since Scotland's summer tour of Australasia.
Meanwhile, Warriors lock Tim Swinson faces three-to-six weeks out with a facial injury suffered in a pre-season friendly against Aviva Premiership side Sale.
The club's medical staff are also investigating a foot problem picked up by hooker Pat MacArthur ahead of the 2012/13 campaign
