Harlequins and England centre Jordan Turner-Hall has been charged with GBH following a nightclub incident in October.
The 27-year-old was involved in an alleged brawl in Brighton that left one man suffering from a fractured cheekbone and another with broken teeth.
Quins have thus far refused to comment on the situation, saying: "Harlequins is aware of an investigation into an incident involving a player last year.
"As this is an ongoing investigation the club can make no further comment on the matter."
Turner-Hall has two caps for England but was omitted from Stuart Lancaster's 50-man provisional World Cup squad.
Lancaster's reign as England head coach has been plagued by disciplinary issues lately with Manu Tuilagi, Dylan Hartley and Danny Cipriani all in hot water.
