Flanker Tom Wood is still struggling to believe that England beat New Zealand, ending the All Blacks' 20-game unbeaten run in the process.

England last tasted victory against the All Blacks at Twickenham in 2002, but ended their decade-long wait for another home success with a 38-21 triumph.

The result and performance left England supporters in dreamland and Wood has acknowledged he and his team-mates are only just taking in the magnitude of their achievement.

"It's difficult to put it into words, I don't think we quite understand what we have achieved yet, it hasn't quite dawned on us and sunk in," Wood told Sky Sports.

"It was just great for that group of lads to win and end on a high the last day of the series, and get that endorsement that everything we have been doing this series is going in the right direction and that we can keep going that way going into the Six Nations."

Man of the match

Woods received man of the match after an impressive all-action display which included numeorus monstrous tackles.

"It couldn't have gone much better for me personally, but the man of the match was fairly fortunate, there was a lot of candidates out there," Woods continued.

"Obviously Manu (Tuilagi) involved in all the tries, Owen Farrell kicked all his goals pretty well, Tom Youngs and Dan Cole and the likes up front, Geoff Parling, should name everybody on the team to be honest.

"It was one of those 1 to 15 performances that everybody added something, I'll obviously take it if it comes my way, but there were a lot of candidates."
