Scotland v England teams

Josh Lewsey will return to the England team for Saturday's Calcutta Cup clash.

Full-back Josh Lewsey will return to the England team for Saturday's Calcutta Cup clash at Murrayfield after recovering from a shoulder injury he picked up in the opening Six Nations victory over Wales.

The Wasps full-back missed England's 31-16 victory over Italy 10 days ago but reclaims the number 15 jersey from club colleague Tom Voyce, who drops back to the replacements' bench.

Lewsey (pictured) had made 22 consecutive starts stretching back to the World Cup final in 2003 before being forced to miss the match in Rome.

As expected, the only other change to the starting XV is the replacement of the injured Matt Stevens by Leicester tight-head prop Julian White.

Stevens strained his shoulder in Bath's weekend defeat to London Irish. White will start his first England game in more than a year.

Head coach Andy Robinson has made two other changes to the bench. Perpignan prop Perry Freshwater and uncapped Leicester hooker George Chuter come in, while Gloucester utility back James Simpson-Daniel and Bath hooker Lee Mears miss out.

Scotland coach Frank Hadden has made three changes to the starting XV for the Calcutta Cup clash against England at Murrayfield on Saturday.

Hooker Dougie Hall is back, with Scott Lawson omitted from the 22.

In the second row, Scott MacLeod replaces the suspended Scott Murray. It will be MacLeod's second start for Scotland after he was named as a replacement for the defeat against Wales two weeks ago.

Perpignan second row Nathan Hines, who announced his international comeback after a year of self-imposed exile last week, is back among the substitutes.

In the backs, centre Marcus Di Rollo has recovered from the hamstring injury which kept him out of the defeat at the Millennium Stadium and replaces Ben MacDougall.

Hadden admitted he had not considered an immediate recall to the starting XV for the 31-cap Hines, who last played in last year's Calcutta Cup.

"I have said all along that I was pleased with the competition in the second row," he said. "I did not consider bringing Nathan straight into the starting line-up.

"Our team just now is a hard one to force your way into.  There is no doubt, however, that Nathan can play a big role for us."

He added that hooker was becoming a problem position for the side. "Once again we have reflected long and hard over our choice at hooker.

"Ross Ford definitely announced himself on the stage last week and his is a star on the rise. But again we have gone for horses for courses at hooker with Dougie coming back."
