Ruddock admits Henson fear

Mike Ruddock admits he is worried about Gavin Henson's involvement in the Six-Nations.

Wales' inspirational coach Mike Ruddock admits he is worried about Gavin Henson's participation in the forthcoming Six-Nations tournament.

Henson is anxiously awaiting the result of a scheduled hearing after being cited for elbowing Leicester Tigers' Alejandro Moreno.

A guilty verdict could mean a two or three month ban for the creative centre, meaning he would miss Wales' opening showdown with world champions England - a scenario that deeply worries Ruddock.

"Losing Gavin would of course be a big blow and I'm hoping it's good news," Ruddock told the South Wales Echo.

"He has had a long time out and is just getting back. But I'm hoping that Gavin and Ian Evans are found not guilty.

"I have every confidence the Ospreys will handle what needs to be done this week as part of the process. We just have to respect the process and see what happens."

Evans has been cited for an incident in the same game, which caused serious injury to England scrum half Harry Ellis.

Ellis himself is now expected to miss at least part of the Six-Nations, although he is still awaiting a scan on his damaged knee.
