Christian Leali'fano kicked all of Australia's points in the heavy defeat to South Africa
Australia centre Christian Leali'fano says the squad are hurting following their fourth successive Test defeat last weekend.
The Wallabies crashed to a dismal 38-12 loss to South Africa at Suncorp Stadium, leaving them bottom of the Rugby Championship.
Leali'fano admitted he noticed sections of the Brisbane crowd heading for the exits with a quarter of the game remaining, but he remains hopeful they can break their losing streak against Argentina on Saturday.
"It's tough letting your fans down. We're hoping they stick by us. We feel like results are just around the corner."
"Seeing that hurts, and you take that personally," said Leali'ifano. "It's tough letting your fans down. We're hoping they stick by us. We feel like results are just around the corner."
Australia have come in for heavy criticism from former players and pundits, with many of them tipping Ewen McKenzie's side to become Argentina's first victims in the tournament.
McKenzie is under mounting pressure after just three matches at the helm but Leali'ifano maintains the hail of criticism has not impacted upon player morale.
"It's tough when you're not getting the results," said the Brumbies star. "Everyone sort of looks back on the team culture and thinks that it might take a bit of a hit.
"But the boys are really sticking tight and not much is fazing us. We've just got to look after our own game and hopefully produce the results."
