This season our experts will be putting together their Super Rugby Dream Team.

The likes of Sean Fitzpatrick, Michael Lynagh and Thinus Delport will look at a different position each week and will name their contender for the starting XV.

With 18 years of Super Rugby to look back on, there is sure to be some big names losing out as our experts fight the corner of their chosen players.

15 - The contenders: Percy Montgomery (Thinus Delport), Matt Burke (Michael Lynagh), Christian Cullen (Sean Fitzpatrick)

Winner: Christian Cullen

Sean Fitzpatrick says: "Cullen was quite outstanding, probably one of the greatest players I have ever played with. This kid had natural ability. As strong as any of the forwards, ran like the wind and could sidestep off both feet at full pace. He created so much space and opportunity."

12 - The contenders: Jean De Villiers (Thinus Delport),Matt Giteau (Michael Lynagh), Aaron Mauger (Sean Fitzpatrick)

Winner: Matt Giteau

Michael Lynagh says: "It was very close but we went for Matt Giteau because of his all-round ability. His attacking ability was probably the best out of the three. He was outstanding for the Brumbies when he came onto the scene as a very young man but boy could we see his talent straight away. He really had an eye for the gap."

No 8 - The contenders: Pierre Spies (Thinus Delport), Toutai Kefu (Michael Lynagh), Zinzan Brooke (Sean Fitzpatrick)

Winner: Zinzan Brroke

Michael Lynagh: Zinzan Brooke was one of the most competitive players I have come up against. You would go and have a beer with him afterwards and there would be a dart board there and he would want to win that as well. He was a great No.8 but he could have played No.10 - I played with him for a club in Italy and he was literally playing No 8, halfback and flyhalf all in one!

No 2 - The contenders:Bismarck du Plessis (Thinus Delport), Stephenj Moore (Michael Lynagh), Sean Fitzpatrick (Sean Fitzpatrick picked Keven Mealamu but was overruled by Michael and Thinus who picked Fitzy)

Winner: Bismarck du Plessis

Thinus Delport: "There has been a brace of great hookers down in South Africa but Bismarck really stands out. The amount of physicality he brings to the game is just immense - he is a one man wrecking ball. he creates a lot of turnovers at the breakdown because he just cannot be moved. I think he has made a massive impact in bringing that physicality to the hooker role and redefining the way that they play.
