Melbourne Rebels have added two New Zealanders to their ranks for next season with the signings of Scott Fuglistaller and Jason Woodward.

Fuglistaller, a 25-year-old openside flanker, plays for Wellington in the ITM Cup but has failed to break in to the Hurricanes squad - with Serge Lilo, Karl Lowe and Jack Lam blocking his path.

And Fuglistaller will be joined at the Rebels by the 22-year-old Woodward, who will increase competition across the back three.

Fuglistaller, who has played Super Rugby for the Highlanders, and Woodward have both signed two-year deals after failing to secure deals with any of the New Zealand franchises.
