The Stormers have welcomed South Africa flanker Schalk Burger back into their side ahead of their clash with the Chiefs in Hamilton on Friday.

Burger was suspended for two weeks after he was yellow carded against the Sharks, and makes his return at openside flanker at the expense of Luke Watson, who starred in the side's win over the Queensland Reds in Brisbane last weekend.

Watson takes the place of Robbie Diack, who moves to the bench, while Pieter Myburgh drops out of the match day squad.

Reserves: D Fourie, B Harris, R Skeate, R Diack, B Conradie, G Aplon, D Des Fountain.
