Fly-half Remi Tales has been recalled to the France squad for the Six Nations clash with Wales later this month.

Tales was forced to miss Sunday's 30-10 win over Italy through injury but he is recalled by coach Philippe Saint-Andre with Francois Trinh-Duc, who replaced him in the squad, the man to miss out.

There is also a call-up for back-row Alexandre Lapandry, who has been in fine form domestically with Clermont - he last won a Test cap against Argentina in the summer of 2012.

Castres full-back Geoffrey Palis has been left out after failing to make Saint-Andre's final 23 against Italy and England, and there is also no place for veteran scrum-half Morgan Parra.

Parra is passed over despite scoring 25 points for Clermont over the weekend and it appears France will continue to rely on Jean-Marc Doussain at No 9.

There could be a further change to the squad if prop Rabah Slimani is punished further for the red card he was shown against the Azzurri after trading head butts with Michele Rizzo.

Six Nations action takes a break this weekend with France making the trip to the Millennium Stadium on Friday, February 21.

France squad - Forwards: Thomas Domingo, yannick Forestier, Benjamin Kayser, Dimitri Szarzewski, Nicolas Mas, Rabah Slimani, Alexandre Flanquart, Yoann Maestri, Pascal Pape (captain), Sebastien Vaahamahina, Virgile Bruni, Ibrahim Diarra, Alexandre Lapandry, Bernard Le Roux, Yannick Nyanga, Damien Chouly, Louis Picamoles.

Backs: Jean-Marc Doussain, Maxime Machenaud, Jules Plisson, Remi Tales, Mathieu Bastareaud, Gael Fickou, Wesley Fofana, Yoann Huget, Maxime Medard, Hugo Bonneval, Brice Dulin.
