Biarritz flanker Wenceslas Lauret has become the third player in three days to withdraw from France's Six Nations squad.
The 23-year-old will miss next weekend's opener against Italy with concussion.
Lauret, who has been capped three times, has been replaced by uncapped Toulon forward Pierrick Gunther in the 33-man squad which will be whittled down to 23 on Monday by coach Philippe Saint-Andre.
Lauret, who also had to pull out of the squad for the November Tests because of injury, was hurt early in the second half of Friday's Top 14 defeat to champions Toulouse.
"Our first concern is the players' health. Wenceslas gave a lot for his club and he must rest," Saint-Andre said
Lauret's withdrawal follows that of full-back Brice Dulin on Friday with a groin problem and leading tryscorer Vincent Clerc, who was ruled out on Saturday with a hamstring injury.
