Ospreys prop facing eight weeks out

Wales have been dealt a fresh injury blow ahead of their RBS Six Nations campaign after Adam Jones was ruled out for eight weeks. Coach Warren Gatland is already without the likes of Gethin Jenkins, Tom Shanklin, Andrew Bishop and Gavin Henson through injury, while Richie Rees is suspended. Ospreys prop Jones has now joined them on the sidelines after he suffered an elbow injury in the Heineken Cup defeat loss to London Irish. Ospreys head physio Chris Towers confirmed: "The scans have confirmed our suspicion of significant ligament damage and soft tissue trauma to the left elbow. "We've discussed the case at length, both with orthopaedic specialists and the WRU medical team, and expect that Adam is likely to be out for around eight weeks."
