Leicester lock Geoff Parling is relishing the opportunity to rejoin the Leicester Tigers and returns on a high after England's superb victory over New Zealand last weekend.

Parling is hoping he gets the nod to face Treviso in Sunday's Heineken Cup clash after playing a starring role in England's unexpected success against the All Blacks.

"I'm keen to get cracking and playing for the club again, if selected," he told the Leicester Mercury.

"We are confident but we can't be too bullish in the way we prepare for Treviso,".

Despite the fact Treviso have lost their opening two games in the competition, Parling is expecting a tough game when the teams clash at Welford Road, especially in the scrum.

"The biggest threat is up front," he continued. "Traditionally, Italian sides are not as skilful out wide but, up front, they are good at scrum and maul time.

"We have two massive games coming up against Treviso. We started the campaign with a loss at Toulouse but we got things back on the right track against the Ospreys, particularly in the last 10 minutes.

"We have to stick to our shapes, not get frustrated if things don't go our way early on and back ourselves to come through."
