Sale Sharks fly-half Nick Macleod says he has fully recovered from his collision with Joe Simpson during Saturday's win at Wasps.

Macleod had to leave the field after just seven minutes after he was concussed when competing with Simpson for a high ball.

Wasps scrum-half Simpson received a yellow card for the challenge while Macleod's replacement, Danny Cipriani, inspired Sale to a 21-17 win at Adams Park.

"I am feeling fine, it was just one of those things," said Macleod. "Joe is a great lad who meant no harm at all.

"He came to me as I left the field to see if I was okay and we had a chat about it after the game.

"I must say though there is something about Wasps that is strange. Last year I hurt my back, this season at the AJ Bell Stadium I injured my elbow - now this! Hopefully I can get through a full game against them next season.

"We have got a few days off now and I am looking forward to starting preparation for the Northampton game (on 22 March)."
