London Irish have signed England international forward Luke Narraway from Perpignan on a two-year deal.

The No 8 will leave French club Perpignan in the summer after agreeing a two-year contract to return to English rugby with The Exiles.

The deal brings Narraway back to the Premiership, where he spent nine seasons with Gloucester before leaving for Perpignan in 2012, and he joins a club under new ownership following an Irish consortium's takeover late last year.

He said: "There has been a lot of positive news to come out of London Irish over the last six months, not least with the announcement of the new board of directors and the move to a new state of the art training ground.

"I'm excited with the direction the club are heading and I'm looking forward to being a part of their plans."

Director of rugby Brian Smith said: "Luke is a talented player with a huge amount of Premiership experience.

"I had the pleasure of working with Luke in the England set up and look forward to doing so again next season. He has bought into what we want to accomplish and therefore is a perfect fit for London Irish."

Narraway has represented England at every level from U18 upwards and won the last of his seven senior caps against Ireland in 2009.
