London Welsh have announced the signing of veteran Argentina forward Julio Farias Cabello from Tucaman.
The versatile 34-year-old has won 19 international caps and played in each game of Argentina's first campaign in the quad-nation Rugby Championship.
He was also a member of the 2011 Rugby World Cup squad, starting the pool win over Scotland and scoring the Pumas' only try in their 33-10 quarter-final defeat to eventual champions New Zealand.
Cabello can play in the second row and the back row, and London Welsh head coach Lyn Jones believes he will be a valuable asset for the remainder of the Aviva Premiership season.
"Julio is a quality player with a high work-rate and will add a great deal of ability to our squad for the final push in the Aviva Premiership.
"We've got eight games to go and we need as much depth to our squad as possible to be as competitive as we can in mid-February as we need to be in May."
