London Wasps prop Tim Payne has been suspended for two weeks for a knee striking incident against Northampton.

The 33-year-old was cited for clashign with Northampton winger Vasily Artemyev during the Saints' 24-6 Aviva Premiership win on 28 September.

It is a big blow for Wasps, currently struggling in 10th spot in the table with only one victory this season.

Payne will be unavailable until 15 October, meaning he will miss the league fixture against Worcester and the Amlin Challenge Cup clash with Newport Gwent Dragons.
