Gerrit-Jan van Velze: Has been banned for four weeks
Northampton back row Gerrit-Jan van Velze has been handed a four-week ban for a tip tackle during the Aviva Premiership win over Exeter.
The South African was cited by independent officer Micky Ward following the tackle on Chiefs scrum-half Will Chudley.
Van Velze, though, pleaded guilty to the charges and will now be ruled out of action until October 10.
The case appeared before an RFU disciplinary committee and was heard by a panel of John Brennan (chair), Dan White and John Loughton.
