Bath have called on the services of former Bristol man Neil Clark to kick-start their Premiership campaign.

Clark has agreed to a loan deal at the Recreation Ground, providing cover for those players involved at the World Cup.

Bath hooker Lee Mears will almost certainly play his part in France, so Clark will be used in the front row in order to give Mears a rest.

Head coach Steve Meehan said: "In anticipation of Lee Mears being with England during the World Cup, we are looking forward to Neil joining us.

"We are sure that the experience will benefit him and the Cornish All Blacks and hopefully it's the beginning of closer ties between them and Bath Rugby."

The former England Under-21 player is currently on the books of the Cornish All Blacks, having previously been a part of the Bristol setup.
