Ospreys have confirmed No 8 Dan Baker escaped serious injury after being carried off during their 42-7 thrashing of Treviso on Sunday.

Baker, who has been capped twice by Wales, was taken straight to hospital after taking a bang to the head and complaining of neck pain during the European Rugby Champions Cup clash.

He was discharged later the same evening though and Ospreys medical staff have posted a positive update on his progress.

"Ospreys medics have confirmed that Dan Baker suffered 'no serious injury' in Sunday's win over Benetton Treviso,” read a statement on the club’s official website.

The statement added that "other than soft tissue damage he sustained no serious injury".

Baker will miss Saturday's Sky Live game against Northampton at Franklin’s Gardens but is not expected to be out of action for an extended period.
