Newcastle prop Grant Shiells has agreed to join Aviva Premiership rivals Bath next season.
Shiells has played almost 100 matches for the Falcons since joining in 2009, but injury problems limited him to just two starts and five appearances on the bench last season.
The 24-year-old, who has been capped for Scotland U19s, 20s and at A-level, is looking forward to moving to the Recreation Ground.
“I’m really excited to be joining Bath; they’ve got a great coaching team and are clearly building towards the future,” he told the club's official website.
“There are some very talented players in the squad and I’m looking forward to getting involved and developing myself as a player.”
Bath forwards coach, Neal Hatley said: “Grant is a talented young player who already has a good amount of Premiership experience.
“We see him fitting in well with the club and our plans for the future. He’s got a lot of potential in him and we’re looking forward to seeing him push on.”
