Ben Smith will start at fullback for New Zealand in the second Test against England in Dunedin on Saturday.
Smith has been moved from the wing to replace Israel Dagg who has been struggling with thigh and knee problems this week following the All Blacks' 20-15 victory in last weekend's first Test in Auckland.
Julian Savea, who has scored 19 tries in 20 Test matches, returns from a minor knee injury and will start on the left wing with Cory Jane on the right flank.
No 8 Kieran Read, who missed out at Eden Park due to concussion, has not been deemed fit enough to feature and Jerome Kaino, who returned to the national side last week after a stint in Japan, will play his 50th Test.
New Zealand coach Steve Hansen said: "We are expecting another big contest this weekend and with England sure to make improvements in their game, we will have to improve massively ourselves.
"We have worked hard on our skillsets, attitude and the detail in our game, which wasn't up to All Blacks standard last week.
"Our mindset this week has been all about improvement, taking ownership and responsibility for our individual roles with the aim of delivering a team performance we can all be proud of."
