Versatile backs Denis Hurley and Johne Murphy have penned one-year contract extensions that will see them remain at Thomond Park until the summer of 2015.

Cork-born player Hurley is a product of the Munster academy and is a regular either on the wing or at full-back. The 29-year-old has made 130 appearances for the province, scoring 10 tries.

He earned his only international cap for Ireland against USA in Santa Clara five years ago.

His team-mate Murphy, 29, has made 79 appearances and scored 12 tries for Munster after joining them at the start of the 2010/11 season.

Munster also confirmed the signing of Dublin University tight-head prop Martin Kelly on a one-year development contract.

Ian Nagle, who is currently on loan to Newcastle Falcons, will finish with Munster at the end of the current season, despite being offered a contract by the province.
