Courtney Lawes: Played his part in the 20-0 win over Scotland

Sky Bet

Courtney Lawes believes England stand a good chance of winning the Six Nations if they come out victorious in their remaining games.

Stuart Lancaster's side put the disappointment of an opening 26-24 defeat in France behind them to record a 20-0 success over Scotland at Murrayfield on Saturday.

Next up are home clashes with unbeaten Ireland and then Wales followed by a concluding trip to Italy and Lawes is targeting victories in all these games.

The England lock told Sky Sports: "It's still early and we've got a win under our belts now - 20-0 - and its good.

"We can go ahead now and if we can win the rest of our games than we're in with a good shot."

Vengeance

England beat Ireland 12-6 last year but Lawes knows it will be tough at Twickenham against opponents who have already beaten Scotland and Wales this year.

He added: "They'll come with a bit of vengeance in mind I would imagine from last year.

"I think it's going to be a hell of a competition and I'm just looking forward to it.

"It's going to be good to get back to 'Twickers' and get the home fans on side and get that stadium buzzing again so yes, hopefully we can start well and the crowd get behind us and then we'll crack on from there."
