Perry Parker: Loan move to Ospreys for forward

Sky Bet

Edinburgh lock Perry Parker has joined Ospreys on loan until the end of the season.

The 26-year-old second-row joined Ospreys training on Thursday morning and is set to feature in Friday's LV=Cup clash with Sale Sharks.

The Welsh side are short of options in the forwards as Alun Wyn Jones and James King are on Wales duty, while Ian Evans is suspended for 12 weeks and Ryan Jones is out through injury.

Ospreys' rugby operations manager Andy Lloyd said it was vital to secure cover for the Six Nations window.

"With four of our senior options in the second row unavailable for various reasons, we felt it was prudent to bring in additional cover for a busy period that has a huge bearing on the final placings in the Pro12 and the make-up of the play-offs," said Lloyd.

"Perry Parker is a player who has caught the coaching team's eye and we look forward to seeing him make big contribution."
