Dan Bowden: Out for up to three months
Leicester centre Dan Bowden has been ruled out for up to three months after fracturing his eye socket and cheekbone.
The Kiwi suffered multiple fractures during Saturday's 30-23 win over Sale and has been ruled out until the end of February at the earliest but it could be as long as 12 weeks.
The blow is softened slightly by the return to the squad of fellow centre Anthony Allen who is fit again after three months out with compartment syndrome.
Coach Richard Cockerill told the Leicester Mercury: "I am bitterly disappointed for Dan and for us because he was playing so well. Our luck continues...
"But Anthony is fit to play and will be in the 23 (for Sunday's game at home to Bath). We lose one and gain one.
"When the power in Ant's leg got back to normal, he was ready to go and it is key for us to have Ant back in the mix."
