Wales scrum-half Mike Phillips could face disciplinary action from his club Bayonne over allegations he attended a video analysis session while drunk.

Phillips, along with team-mates Dwayne Haare and Stephen Brett, is alleged to have been drunk on 11 October when the squad met the day after beating Grenoble 37-6 in the Amlin Challenge Cup.

According to reports in France, Bayonne deputy chairman Philippe Rugierri will discuss the matter with the trio on Tuesday.

Phillips, capped 77 times by Wales, was dropped for Thursday's defeat by Wasps.

He has been in disciplinary trouble before; he was fined and suspended for 10 days by relegation-threatened Bayonne for an off-field incident last year and was banned by Wales in 2011 following a confrontation with a doorman in Cardiff.
