Bath have confirmed they are in negotiations with Gavin Henson over a possible two-year contract at The Rec.
Henson, 31, is currently at London Welsh but he has played just 11 times this season because of injury problems.
The Exiles have already confirmed that players who wish to leave will be allowed to do so following their relegation from the Aviva Premiership.
Henson has met with Bath boss Gary Gold, who wants the former Wales international to sign for what would be the back's eighth club.
Gold has begun an overhaul of the Bath squad, with the likes of Stephen Donald, Michael Claasens and Simon Taylor all leaving, and Leicester starlet George Ford expected to arrive in the summer.
