The Brumbies have confirmed that scrum-half Nic White has agreed to extend his stay at the Canberra franchise by a further year.

White has gone on to make 19 appearances for the Brumbies since making his debut against the Reds in 2011.

And the 22-year-old, who has been on the fringes of the Australia squad, has now committed until the end of the 2014 Super Rugby season.

"Under the Brumbies program Nic has seen substantial improvements to his game in both attack and defence," head coach Jake White told the club's official site.

Future

"He spent most of 2012 battling a shoulder problem so with that out of the way we are expecting Nic to have a big season.

"Along with guys like David Pocock, Stephen Moore and Ben Alexander, Nic's contract extension allows us to plan for a strong future at the Brumbies."

White added: "The Brumbies gave me my first chance as a younger guy, so it was always my intention to continue my rugby here in Canberra.

"The program at the Brumbies has allowed me to make significant improvements to my game but I feel like I still have plenty of room to get better."
