David Young: Looking for first win this season
Wasps boss David Young wants his players to build "a fortress mentality" at Adams Park this season.
Young's team will run out on home soil for the first time when they host Aviva Premiership opponents London Irish on Saturday.
Wasps have collected three bonus points in going down to defeats against Harlequins and Bath so far, although the quality of rugby they produced on both occasions suggests an encouraging campaign ahead.
"If you want to do well in this competition you win the majority of your home games. That will put you halfway up the league." Young said.
"If you can build that fortress mentality then it puts you in a strong position. We've shown glimpses over the last two games of how good we can be without putting in an 80-minute performance. We've made mistakes that I'm confident we can put right.
"A win at home would give the fans something to smile about and give the players confidence, taking a little bit of a monkey off our back.
"Everyone is looking for that first win as early as they can in the season."
