Topsy Ojo has warned top-four rivals Sale that London Irish will "come out all guns blazing" in Sunday's Premiership clash.
The Exiles and Sale are currently locked together in joint-fifth spot on 29 points - just three points behind third-placed Northampton.
With little to choose between the sides in the Premiership this season, Irish know that a win over the Sharks at the Madejski Stadium would give them a massive lift heading into the business end of the campaign.
And having suffered their heaviest loss of the season against Bath last time out, winger Ojo insists the Exiles are determined to hit back.
"It is a massive game for us," Ojo told Sky Sports. "We were so disappointed with the Bath result.
"We know Sale will be a hard game but with them being right next to us in the table we know it is important to get the win and then kick-on from there.
"We will come out all guns blazing on Sunday."
Ahead of their Bath horror show, the Exiles had agonisingly lost nine of their matches in all competitions by less than a converted try.
And while the stats show Toby Booth's men have been unlucky at times this season, Ojo insists the side need to turn battling displays into vital points.
"It shows how close we have been and how competitive the league is this season," he said.
"Those defeats have all been two, three, four-point losses and if we had just turned a couple of them around we would be in a much stronger position.
"We have been in every game but we need to turn them into wins.
"Some of the games we have been unlucky and others it has been the odd mistake that has cost us. But we have shown in the tight games we have won that we can close out matches, we just need to be more consistent."
