Experienced try-scorer makes the switch from Bedford
Full-back Edd Thrower has agreed a deal to return to London Welsh from Bedford Blues.
The 28-year-old, who can also play on the wing, scored 17 tries for the Blues last season as they reached the Championship play-offs and the final of the British & Irish Cup.
However the former England Under-21s international has now agreed to make the switch to Old Deer Park - four-and-a-half years after playing for the Exiles on loan.
Thrower played in a 13-6 defeat to Moseley in December 2006 during his three-year stint at Wasps.
Interest
The proven try scorer also has Premiership experience with London Irish and Saracens, while he had a productive season in Italy with Parma before signing for the Blues.
"I'm looking forward to the new season and a new challenge," said Thrower. "Welsh have got some good players, who I've played with or against several times, so it should be good.
"It's been a while since I played that one game for London Welsh - I've played for a few more Premiership clubs since then and been to Italy and back - but it's always been a club that I've had an interest in.
"Bedford played some good rugby last season and I enjoyed every bit of it. It in the end it just wasn't meant to be against Worcester, but we gave it a good go."
