Toulon president criticises attitude of suspended centre

Toulon president Mourad Boudjellal says that suspended centre Gavin Henson has caused problems with his attitude since joining the club. Henson, who joined the French side on a short-term deal in February, is currently serving a week-long ban imposed by the club for a breach of discipline. The 29-year-old has made only two appearances since joining Toulon and the latest episode raises questions over whether he will be kept on at the end of the season. Boudjellal says he will make an objective decision - currently set for Monday - on any further disciplinary measures but concedes that Henson's arrival has caused some problems. "Henson has had an attitude which has been difficult to manage," he said. "This week I have tried to find out what happened because I have to make a decision which is the most objective possible. I think I know now what happened, so I will make decisions on Monday." He added: "We are not here to back him into a corner. He is a boy who makes mistakes sometimes. He's not the only one in rugby. There are others. "But at Toulon, as Jonny Wilkinson says, it's 24/7 here. It's a disappointment because he's a great player. I'm sure he would have had a good match on Saturday (against Perpignan). "You can tell that he's a great player. He's a cut above and makes me think of (former Toulon centre) Sonny Bill Williams. They are boys who are cuts above. But sometimes they hit rock bottom."
