Former All Blacks lock Ross Filipo has agreed a two-year deal to move to Wasps from Bayonne.
Filipo won three Super Rugby titles with the Crusaders before moving to France, while he was part of the NZ Maori side that beat the British and Irish Lions in 2005.
And the 31-year-old, who was capped five times, is relishing the chance to play in the Premiership.
He said: "I am really looking forward to joining Wasps who have exciting plans for next season.
"I know they have been one of England's most successful clubs and I hope I can play a role in helping them to getting back to the top of their game."
Strengthen
Wasps interim director of rugby Leon Holden believes Filipo is an excellent addition to the pack.
"This is another sign of our desire to strengthen our squad for next season, especially in the pack," said Holden.
"Ross' size, mobility and level of experience will be a great asset to the squad.
"He is a strong ball carrier and an excellent set-piece operator so we look forward to him joining us in the summer."
Filipo is the fifth signing made by Wasps for next season, with Jeremy Castex, Nicky Robinson, Ryan Davis and Chris Bell also set to join in the summer.
