Bath have confirmed centre Olly Barkley will miss the rest of the season after having an operation to repair a double leg fracture.
Barkley suffered a fracture to his lower tibia and fibular during the Aviva Premiership defeat to Gloucester at Kingsholm on Saturday.
Barkley underwent surgery immediately after the game, with the operation declared a success.
And Bath have vowed to do everything they can to help Barkley regain full fitness.
Director of rugby Sir Ian McGeechan told the club's official site: "It is obviously very disappointing for Olly to suffer an injury of this nature, especially as he had been playing so well recently, and at such an important part of the season.
"It is doubly disappointing for Olly and the club as he also missed much of last season with a bad leg injury.
"We will of course make sure he receives the best possible medical attention to get him back on the field as and when he is ready."
