Tait: Sticking with Newcastle
Newcastle have confirmed that Tim Swinson and Alex Tait have agreed deals to remain at the club.
Swinson had been linked to a move away after a stellar season, but the 24-year-old has opted to commit to the Falcons.
And coach Alan Tait said: "Tim had other offers to go down south and it's great news that he's decided to stay in the north-east."
Swinson added: "I am really happy and I'm now focused on helping the club to go forward.
"We have a big few months coming up and it's important that we keep building momentum."
Full-back Alex Tait, the younger brother of England international Mathew, has gone on to make 41 appearances in three years for the Falcons.
And Alan Tait believes he can continue to improve at Kingston Park.
The Falcons boss added: "When I first came to the club I could see Alex was a good player. I think he will get better with age and he has a bright future here."
