Cardiff Blues winger injures ankle in training

Wales are facing a fresh injury setback after Leigh Halfpenny suffered an ankle injury in training. Wales are already without Gethin Jenkins, Adam Jones, George North, Tom Shanklin, Andrew Bishop and Richie Rees for the RBS Six Nations opener against England on Friday. However Halfpenny is believed to now be a major doubt for the clash at the Millennium Stadium, with the Cardiff Blues winger needing a scan to confirm the extent of the injury. Halfpenny has been struggling with an ankle problem all season, with Morgan Stoddart favourite to come into the line-up when head coach Warren Gatland names his line-up on Wednesday.
