Azzurri skipper expected to be fit despite dislocated finger

Italy captain Sergio Parisse is expected to be fit for the RBS Six Nations opener against Ireland despite a new injury setback. The No.8 suffered a dislocated finger playing for Stade Francais against Castres on Thursday. However the injury is not as bad as initially feared, with Parisse set to be given the all clear. "Fortunately the dislocation didn't cause any nerve damage and we're confident he will recover to play against Ireland in Rome on February 5," said Italy team doctor Roberto Pozzoni.
